A Bit Late...

I am very late posting these cards. I made them for Fathers Day and we did give them to John on Fathers Day, but he took them and put them up on his desk right away and I forgot to take pictures of them before I gave them to him. I will post the other fathers day card tomorrow. This one is from my son, and the inside uses the stamp that says: He who has the most tools wins and we wrote underneath Father of the Year!, and my hubby def has a ton of tools.

This is totally fitting...

I have been busy all week getting ready for a massive community wide garage sale, and since we really had to clean up the garage and put all my hubby's tools away I think this card is quite fitting today. I bought Totally Tool with my hubby in mind since he loves to go wood working projects and has a ton of tools. I try to make him cards with this set often, and I love the message on this particular stamp....love beyond measure, it's quite cute, but is also how I feel, so it works out well.

I wanted this card to have a bit more rugged and manly feel, so I crumpled some of the Nouveau Chic DSP and then added some dark gray with the sponge daubers.

You're a tool...

In a good way though. I love the set Totally Tool. I think it is great for thank you cards for anyone that is handy. I also love doing things that are a little unexpected sometimes and I think that putting real washers on this card is a little unexpected. This card is for someone who has been building me extra storage for all my wonderful scrappy stuff, You Rock!!!

I will be quite busy this week getting ready for Christmas, and also getting ready to leave for Arizona for Vacation!!! I am hoping to still get a few posts in, but I have to start and finish making 3 Christmas presents, A Wiggles Car Cake for my niece and Birthday presents as well as planning and making supplies for a Stampers 10 this Friday.

So this is the Card I made with my new stamp set Totally Tool from Stampin' Up! It is a late Father's Day card. I usually make 2 for every occasion, 1 from me and 1 from my son, and I always let my son pick out the stamp set he wants to use and usually the colors too. I gave my hubby the one from me for Father's Day as well as the word book I made him and I told him the other card would be late. This card is all Stampin' Up, the paper is Whisper White, Basic Black, Real Red, Kraft, and Brushed Silver. I colored in the images using Stampin' Write Markers Real Red, Basic Black, Yoyo Yellow, and Creamy Caramel and for the light gray color I also used a blender pen to pull the color from the Basic Gray marker. I should also mention that this card is a CASE of a card by Jodi Lenz, I saw it while looking at this set over at SCS and my son insisted this was the card 'he' wanted to make. I had already ordered this set and was just waiting for it to come when he chose it, I was hoping it would be here before Father's Day, but oh well better late than never I guess.
