loads of love

First off I want to thank all of you who have checked in on me and emailed me to make sure I'm still here and doing ok. I blinked and a month has passed. I think things are less hectic now. My Grams has been moved at least temporarily into a full care nursing home. There are good and bad aspects to this, the worst being that she is farther away than she was which means it takes FOR-EVER to drive down for a visit. I'm glad she seems to like it there and the staff is wonderful, which makes it easier knowing I can't visit everyday. I've had to place this creative outlet on the back burner since pretty much the first of the year, but I've become so stressed that I've decided I need to make the time to de-stress and get my creative juices flowing. This should translate into more blogging.

Ok, now onto what you all came here for. This card could be a valentines type card or just a just because I love you card, or even an anniversary card.

Stamps: Loads of Love
Inks: Blushing Bride, Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose
Papers: Pear Pizazz DSP, Sweet Pea DSP (retired), Pear Pizazz Cardstock, Old Olive Cardstock, Blushing Bride Cardstock, Whisper White Cardstock, Watercolor paper
Misc: Pretty in Pink 5/8" Satin Ribbon, Crystal Effects, Mini Library Clip, Aqua Painters, Pinking Hearts Edge Punch,

I love the extra little detail that is added by the Crystal Effects onto the watercolored hearts. It really makes them stand out in real life.

I hope you will all be back later in the week to see some more posts.

Crystal Effects Video Tutorial

I was making my own rain dots yesterday and decided to do a quick little tutorial for you all, to show you how easy it is to make your own. I love making these, they are so fast and easy to do, and look great on scrapbook pages.

Misc: Crystal Effects and Re-Inkers, stir stick, non stick mat and non stick plate

I should have the actual LO up on here in a day or two. If you do try these out, let me know what you think of them.

Sweet birthday

I made this card for my niece's birthday earlier in the month. I was going to post it then, but decided to save it for while I was away. I have set up a few posts to automatically post while I am away so you will have something to come and look at while I am enjoying the warm & sunny (I hope) weather.

This is a case of a card I saw on LeeAnn Greff's blog. I did not have the set she had, so I used my brand spanking new set called Sweet Scoops instead. I could not believe how easy it was to do this card. It looked so pretty on her blog I just had to try it, esp, the syrup on the ice cream.

Stamps: Sweet Scoops
Ink: Tempting Turquoise

Pretty Bows

I like to think that I can tie a pretty bow. I don't do it very often, but for special cards, like the one I actually gave my hubby on Valentines Day I will do them. They don't take that much more effort, but for some reason I save them for special cards. I also love using the Bride Specialty paper and changing the color of it. It is so easy to do, the easiest way is to use a brayer to roll the color over the paper, and then take a Kleenex or paper towel to rub it off leaving the white swirl pattern. You can also take the ink pad and just rub it over the paper and then take the Kleenex and then wipe off the excess again, but sometimes you do not get as even a job as if you used a brayer.

Stamps: Teen Tiny Wishes
Ink: Bermuda Bay
Paper: Welcome Neighbor DSP (SAB), Bermuda Bay, Whisper White, Basic Black Cardstock
Misc: Crystal Effects, Pinking Hearts Border Punch, Half Back Pearls (Pretties Kit), 5/8" Basic Black Satin Ribbon, Textured Impressions Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Word Window Punch, Modern Label Punch

Until next time, Happy Scrappin'

Finally done!!!!!!!!!!

It seems like I have been taking pictures of cards forever.... and yet it has only been 3 days. I spent most of today uploading the pictures to my computer and adding my watermark. My hands are cramping from hitting the same keys over and over again. I have a whole new appreciation for my hubby after today. While I was taking pictures of the cards and uploading them my wonderful son decided to name them all, and proceeded to tell me I HAVE to call them by their NAMES....

So this is "pumpkin head hat witch" I love the names he comes up with. He always laughs this wonderful soul filling laugh after naming something too. It is an amazing thing to behold. Anyways I hope you enjoy this card

Until next time, Happy Scrappin'
