Shaving cream take 2

This is what the shaving cream technique looks like when you use 3 shades of the same color. I used Baja Breeze, Tempting Turquoise and Pacific Point for this card. If you want a darker card like this you also have to use more drops of reinker than you might think necessary. The shaving cream will look darker than your paper will look, so it sometimes takes a bit of trial and error.

Stamps: Medallion, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Inks: Chocolate Chip, and Baja Breeze, Tempting Turquoise, Pacific Point Re-inkers
Paper: Pacific Point, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White
Misc: 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Dimensionals

where does time go???

I really don't know. I have the best intentions of posting every second day, and then life gets in the way. I think we are well past the 3 bad things that come together, heck we might even be past 3 sets of 3 at this point. All I know is I am sick of bad things happening, and more than ready for some good.

This is a card from one of my club months. I'm thinking February, but I really don't know anymore.... that's how far behind I am. I love using the Medallion stamp, it just makes the most beautiful cards. I got the idea for this card off the internet somewhere, but now I have no clue where.... I wrote it down on a piece of paper and have since lost it. I changed several parts to it, but it is essentially the same card. There are so many ways to change up the look of the Medallion stamp, and using sponge daubers to create it in 2 tone is one of the best ways. I didn't want the card to look too flat so I sprayed the chocolate chip layer with water and crumpled it before putting it on the card base. It just adds a bit more interest to the card.

It's hard to see here, you really need to see it in real life, but I used shimmer paint and mixed it with rubbing alcohol and created a shimmer spray with the champagne shimmer paint. This card is sooo sparkly in real life. I also used a chocolate chip marker and the color spritzer to create the darker sprinkles on the card.

Stamps: Medallion
Inks: Bravo Burgundy, Rose Red, Chocolate Chip Marker
Papers: Blushing Bride DSP, Chocolate Chip, Rose Red
Misc: Linen Thread, Brights Buttons, Pearls, Small Heart Punch, Heart To Heart Punch, Color Spritzer, Shimmer Paint, Antique Brads, Sponge Daubers, Dimensionals

emboss resist

I really do love trying out new techniques, and this is such a fun one, and there are so many different looks from it. This is actually a sample from one of my brayer classes. We had a lot of fun those nights.

you can see the clear embossing powder here
and here you can see the DSP showing through the clear embossing powder.
I highly recommend using an embossing buddy before you ink your paper with the Versa Mark, I forgot to do it here, so there was some leftover embossing powder, and my design is not as crisp as it could be.

Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes, Medallion
Inks: Night of Navy, Bashful Blue
Papers: Whisper White, Bashful Blue, Night of Navy, patterns DSP in Bashful Blue
Misc: Brayer, Half Back Pearls, Hodgepodge Hardware, 1/4" Night of Navy Grosgrain Ribbon, Versa Mark, Clear Embossing Powder, Heat Gun

I need to run, I will have people here soon for my open house, and I still have to eat.

Paper: Whisper White, Pale Plum, Perfect Plum
Misc: White Embossing Powder, Clear Embossing Powder, Modern Label Punch, 3/4" Circle Punch, Clear Rhinestone Brad, Stampin' Dimensionals

Reinker Birthday

This is probably one of my most favorite cards right now. I am still in love with Pacific Point, and I also love playing with reinkers. This background is so easy to create using just 3 reinkers and glossy paper. This also uses my favorite stamp set, Medallion.

Stamps: Medallion, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Inks: Chocolate Chip Classic Ink & Pacific Point and Bashful Blue reinkers
Papers: Glossy White, Pacific Point, Chocolate Chip
Misc: Chocolate Chip 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon

Don't forget about the amazing deals that both Stampin' Up! and I am offering right now.

Until next time, Happy Scrappin'
